Today is the National Day of Remembrance and Action on Violence against Women. We fly our flags at half-mast in memory of the 14 women murdered in the École Polytechnique massacre of 1989, and in solidarity with the survivors who were injured and traumatized in the attack.

Douglas College has been awarded a silver rating for environmental sustainability initiatives through the Sustainability Tracking, Assessment and Rating System (STARS)! From reducing greenhouse gas emissions by upgrading our facilities to eliminating single-use plastic water bottle sales, protecting the environment is a top priority for us. We look forward to using this rating as momentum to further our commitment to climate action.
