🌳 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT 🌳
Douglas College will be closed Monday, Sept. 19 in accordance with the federal day of mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This means that there will be no classes, events or activities on this day. Instructors will provide additional guidance to students regarding coursework or classes that were originally scheduled for September 19. Our campuses will reopen for normal operations on Tuesday.
We had an amazing time at the 10th annual Recovery Day BC event in New Westminster this past weekend. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our “future self” booth and left a note on our banner – your words and stories are moving and inspiring to us all. At Douglas, we believe that celebrating and raising awareness for recovery leads to a healthier, happier and more connected community.
In recognition of the period of mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II, our flags will be flown at half-mast until the day of her memorial service.
