Need tech support on campus? These two can help!

By Shruti Ashok, Centre for Educational and Information Technology

Getting up to speed with technology can be a challenge, especially at the beginning of a new semester. Luckily, we have two student assistants who’ve got you covered.

Meet Tommy and Daniel. Tommy is a Computer and Information Systems student specializing in Data Analytics. Daniel is enrolled in the Computing Studies and Information Systems program. Both are part of the Students Helping Students (SHS) program, brought to you by the Centre for Educational and Information Technology (CEIT).

Tommy and Daniel will be on campus outfitted in red vests and can help you with logins, computer functionality, printing, Wi-Fi and more.

“I always enjoy helping others. This opportunity has enabled me to connect with a lot of people. I am also learning a lot about customer service. It feels great to see the excitement that students have when they learn about new technologies available to them at Douglas College. I would encourage students to go through the IT services pages on our College website to know more about the options and resources that are available to them.” – Daniel
