Don’t miss out – here’s what’s happening around campus this week!

Tuesday, Sept. 10

  • DSU Last Call Before Fall – noon–5pm outside between the AB & CD buildings, at the Coquitlam Campus. Join the DSU for the Last Call Before Fall Carnival for some fun carnival games, prizes, food, a $3 Beverage Garden, music and more. Two pieces of ID will be required for the Beverage Garden area.
  • City Squares artists’ talk – 6:30pm in the Amelia Douglas Gallery, New Westminster Campus 4th floor. Join all three artists from the current multimedia exhibit as they discuss the inspiration for their work. Free and open to the public.

Thursday, Sept. 12

  • The EDGE – 4:30pm – 9:00pm at the New Westminster Campus. This is a three-day, team oriented, action-packed event for first year students! Come discover more about the College while participating in ice-breakers and team-builder challenges, recreation activities, interactive games, and more! This event is meant to foster new relationships, welcome you to student life, build confidence and help you feel more connected to the Douglas College community!
  • The Arts at One – 1pm at the Laura C. Muir Performing Arts Theatre. Go and enjoy the music by the talented Latin Guitarist, Celso Machado.

Friday, Sept. 13

  • The EDGE – 4:30pm – 9:00pm at the New Westminster Campus. This is a three-day, team oriented, action-packed event for first year students! Come discover more about the College while participating in ice-breakers and team-builder challenges, recreation activities, interactive games, and more! This event is meant to foster new relationships, welcome you to student life, build confidence and help you feel more connected to the Douglas College community!
  • DSU EDGE After party! – 9:30pm – midnight at the New Westminster Campus at the Douglas Students’ Union Lounge. Stop by the DSU afterwards for our Best of Both Worlds EDGE AfterParty! Not attending EDGE? You can still come! This event is for all Douglas College students! Enjoy some dancing, DJ, games and more!

Saturday, Sept. 14

  • Douglas College Royals – 1:00pm at Capilano University. Cheer on the Royals as our women’s soccer team plays against the Capilano Blues!
  • Douglas College Royals – 3:30pm at Capilano University. Cheer on the Royals as our men’s soccer team plays against the Capilano Blues!

Ongoing

  • New Westminster Campus Fall 2019 fitness classes – Monday–Thursday from 8am–8pm and Fridays from 8am–6pm, at the Fitness Centre in the New Westminster Campus. View the scheduled classes, which range from Power Yoga to Zumba. Come get fit and healthy!
  • Coquitlam Campus Fall 2019 fitness classes – Monday–Sunday from 8am–10pm, at the Pinetree Community Centre. View the scheduled classes, which range from Pilates to Belly Dancing. Come get fit and healthy!
