This week is a time for celebration for the many Douglas College students who will be walking across the stage as part of the Winter graduation ceremonies.
One small group of students made a lasting mark with their peers and instructors during their time at Douglas. They are the valedictorians:
“Taking Hospitality Management at Douglas helped me pick up key theories and practices of the hospitality industry and equipped me with the skills and experience needed to further my career.”
“Douglas allowed me to sample environments, subjects, and when the time came, I was giving the perfect opportunity to practice my passion through the faculty’s support and effective resource management.”
“The things that I liked about Douglas the most were the instructors and the small classes, it’s just a better learning experience.”
“Douglas has helped my achieve my goals by providing me practical experience. The clinical time that I received in the Nursing program really facilitated personal growth.”
“One thing I value about Douglas College is the sense of community. Small class sizes allowed me to build relationships with the students and faculty. These relationships were a great resource for sharing knowledge and getting assistance.”
