Douglas College business programs recognized for educational quality

Here’s another good reason to study business at Douglas College.

Douglas has been recognized for the excellent educational quality of its business programs by an organization that provides accreditation to post-secondary institutions around the world.

After a two-year review, the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP) has awarded initial accreditation to degree and diploma programs offered by the Faculty of Commerce and Business Administration.

“This accreditation is an affirmation of the quality and relevance of our business programs,” says business dean George Stroppa.

“Students contemplating taking their business education at Douglas can feel confident they are getting a credential which is recognized globally.”

To receive accreditation, Douglas College was evaluated on criteria including institutional leadership, quality of academic programs, faculty credentials and community relationships.

The certificate of initial accreditation will be presented to Douglas College at the ACBSP Conference 2015 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 14.
